Working Methodology: the process of collaboration

Each of the two architects was selected for their strengths in a particular aspect of architecture.  The methods and practices that define the two firms' interactions were a result of characteristics inherent to a design-prime architect relationship and characteristics specific to this project.  There are three major aspects to this.  The first is both that the firms have different philosophies about the process of architecture and that there are two different firms managing different parts of the process.  The other two aspects are part of the particularity of this case; the need to phase the project, and the geographic distance and cultural difference between the firms.  The methods of practice derived from these three elements effect aspects of the project from the design to the final cost.
