Shading Studies

To ensure the natatorium will not be heavily affected by direct sunlight or glare, studies were done to predict how much sunlight will penetrate into the natatorium at different times of a day during equinox, summer solstice, and winter solstice.  These studies helped determine how effectively the shading devices would function.

The studies are in plan views of the interior of the natatorium.  Shadows are indicated in black.  Click on each diagram for a larger view.
