It’s been a long and bumpy ride
With construction almost finished and the campus about to open, a comparison of Berkeley High School campus Master Plan 1937 and Berkeley High School campus 2004 can be done. What are the similarities and differences?                      


The story ends where it began

It is clear, that while there are distinct differences in what exists today, and what was planned in 1937, there are undeniable similarities. Even though the 1937 Master Plan intentions were not always followed, and sometimes downright ignored, today’s outcome surprisingly came close to fulfilling that plan. It is as if it was looking over everyone’s shoulder all along. Even though it began at a point and slowly progressed away from it, other forces brought it back to where it started, allowing the story to complete a full cycle.
