Five Year Action Plan


Finding direction

According to the Plan report, The Key Goals of the plan was to create goals that would lead toward a completed campus supporting academic achievement, creative social interaction, healthy bodies, safety and an enthusiastic campus spirit.

The planning process was rigorous, exhaustive, and exhausting according to the participants. The public was involved via two public workshops.

SMWM's Five Year Plan included a new building along Milvia Street containing a Campus Center, Campus Entry and Gyms & Locker/Shower rooms, and a new building for the Competition Pool. The Campus Center encompassed food service, administration, library / media center, classrooms, and support spaces. Also included in the plan was limited interior and exterior renovation throughout the campus.


1996 BHS Five Year Action Plan

This plan was delineated into First Phase Improvements and Five Year Action Plan Proposals. The renovation and seismic upgrade work was included in the First Phase and the New Construction was included in the Action Plan.
