The
new campus looks a lot like the Gutterson & Corlett master plan, what are the
similarities & differences?

Tomorrow The cycle continues
Proposition AA in 2000 allowed for a $28,155,000 bond that included work
to convert the Old Gymnasium into classrooms. Further study of the Old
Gymnasium resulted in possible seismic problems. This replacement or
renovation is the next chapter in the evolution of BHS, and is scheduled
to begin as soon as the current construction is finished. Akol & Yoshii
Architects has been selected as the architect of the replacement for the
Old Gymnasium. Ongoing Questions? How will the conversion of the Old Gym to classrooms affect the dynamics of the campus? Will it shift the center of gravity?
How will future changes to curriculum (e.g. the small schools initiative) affect the campus and its infrastructure?
Renovating / Replacing the Old Gym is the final component of the 1996 5-Year Plan. Does another master plan or 5-year plan need to be done?
The campus continues to lack permanent food service facilities, is this a part of the future?
Thanks
