International Hotel & St. Mary's Catholic Center

848 Kearny Street, at the corner of Kearny and Jackson Street in San Francisco, marks a site rich with historical precedence with the controversial eviction and demolition of the International Hotel.  Twenty-three years after this event, the Chinese Community Housing Corporation and the Archdiocese of San Francisco are partnering to restore the past and to serve the community with a design scheme of senior housing, an elementary school, and a garage, a project realized as “the International Hotel and St. Mary’s Catholic Center.”
