The design process at the scale of the building, while keeping in mind the framework of the campus.                          

Superintendent Jack McLaughlin's Vision

Because ELS had kept the Superintendent's ideas in mind, the resulting design  resembles Jack McLaughlin's vision which appears to have a connection to what had been proposed by SMWM in 1996.  Continuing the link, SMWM's plan is reminiscent of the Master Plan of 1937.  Consequently, the current design of Berkeley High School brings us back to the Master Plan of 1937.
